ENERGY IN = ENERGY OUT.
there's nothing like a fresh shower and hair wash to set me straight in the morning. It feels so good to let the water come thru and cleanse all of the stale energy that had accumulated during sleep and to integrate IN the fresh energy that accumulated during sleep😉
and then to wash my hair?! DOUBLE FRESH!
I use products that work for me. I'm not a purist about labeling---I follow what works for me because my experience is mine.
I found some really helpful tips on HAIR POROSITY from pinterest that really helped me streamline what my regimen needs to be in order to support MAXIMUM GROWTH.
I've had long hair all my life and then I shaved it all off in 2016. I kept it buzzed for a year/year.5 and then allowed some growth into a lil curly afro afterward.
I noticed that I cut my hair when I was experiencing the biggest changes and reclaiming my independence. I tapped into the ritual of hair removal because of the symbolic nature of CUTTING AWAY energy. It really did help me find new versions of myself, acceptance of self, revealed new inner dialogues, and helped me release a lot of judgment I was holding against myself.
I've since grown it and then cut it into a gooood sleek bob last year. Since then, I've only trimmed it and continue to cultivate it at my current collarbone-length.
my goal is floor length energetic magic.
products I use:
TRESemme Moisture Rich Shampoo & Conditioner
Miss Jessies "Leave-in Condish"
Grapeseed Oil
my regimen: (how often i wash; nightly routine; etc)

I wash my hair every THREE days. After I've washed my hair, I wrap my hair in a COTTON T-SHIRT to retain the moisture. I've found that using a towel causes too much frizziness and extreme dryness.
I apply the oil first, throughout my entire head and then the leave-in and then STYLE IT...
favorite styles:
...into a low bun with a middle part, two loose buns, a french roll, a crown braid, four buns....literally anything that comes to me in the moment that keeps the hair out of my face and in a style that maintains the detangling that I did during the washing & product application process.
I've seen a lot less hair in the drain now that I'm committing to this process and that's been really confirming.
The more energy you put into cultivating the seeds, the higher and healthier your yield will be.
That is LIFE. The lessons of the universe are all around us. We are masters of what we thought we needed to know. We are examples of it all.
This is a HUGE pattern for me; committing half-heartedly and seeing only a minimal potential of what the results could be, instead of WHOLE IN AND SEEING WHOLE OUT!
baby steps, remember? self healing is a process.

my commitment to my hair is my commitment to process.
This SAME principal applies when I'm in ceremony to create garments;
When I move with intention, grace, and awareness, I create an extremely high quality garment with high frequency vibration.
If I rush, or am distracted, or don't engage in my morning routine, or if I try to do shortcuts in my creation process instead of using methods that are better but take a little bit longer...my creations come out great still (haha!) but NOT at the true energetic height that I know it could be.
My mistakes would be visible TO ME and I wouldn't feel right sharing that garment with anyone because I didn't even create it in an open-heart space to begin with...
you see? it's all connected.
So, committing to my hair and embodying this alchemy gift are one in the same energy of COMMITMENT and CREATION.
It's all energy. The more you notice your patterns, the more you see how this repetition shows up in your life in MANY places---the easier it'll be able to make better choices and your whole world will change.
I love this life.
In light of this self-care conversation, here's a shower meditation that you can do whenever you step into that ceremony of your day:
This meditation can be used/shifted/altered/incorporated with any other rituals that you have for your shower/bath time.
enjoy <3
